Joanne Phipps is an independent education consultant and a certified TEFL instructor. She has also served as a university instructor for 15 years in the United States. She holds master’s degrees in Anthropology and International Studies from East Carolina University, and a bachelor’s in journalism from Indiana University. She currently lives in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Emma has been a teacher and teacher trainer for more than 20 years, as well as Cambridge speaking examiner since 2012. She studied Writing for children and teens at the Institute of Children Literature (ICL, Connecticut, USA), self-published
a book of stories in English and Spanish in 2021 and completed a ten-month course on proofreading in Spanish in 2022 at the Escuela de Edición de Lima. She has also written a story in two books, Borrones y cuentos nuevos and Bandeja de Entrada.
